Existing literatures provide evidences in support of large-scale inequalities in African economies. It is therefore necessary to embark on various researches that will minimise the observed gaps between the rich and the poor. It is also necessary to carry out extensive research of the characteristics of the middle-class phenomenon in the African countries if we were to build sustainable economies. Part of the major challenges facing African economies is the problem of poverty. It is therefore necessary to evolve home-grown policies towards eradicating the menace of poverty.
